Been away from the the car for a couple of months now and was trying to work out the stereo. Spend some money so i have loads of presents when I get home.
The speaker that sits on top of the dash, anyone know what size it is? I know its oval but can't recall the actual size. I want say it 6 x 9 but I think its smaller . Possibly some completely random size that was made for the Stag and never been made before or after.

Sorry for delay but just found an old one in the loft, its 7x4" Normal sizes used to be 6x4 or 7x5. Measured max length and width.

At the moment I haven’t got anything fitted at all, but I had one spare 6X9 and I was hoping this would fit. Now I’m back and can see the car, it has got or be that little bit smaller and a 7x5 or slightly smaller would fit.
I may have a play around and see if you can widen the aperture and get this spare 6X9 to fit but this will mean taking the dash out again.

I seem to recall that I fit a pair of 4" / 10cm speakers into the top of the dash, then a couple of big bastards into the trim panels behind the front seats.
Not used it in years as I enjoy the engine muzak too much
