I was going to ask whats the best modification you have done to your Stag but sometimes it not so much of a modification more of subtle amendment, a less vulgar thing.
Must admit I've done a few but not all of them have made a difference, some have had to be done as a result of some other bright idea I had. A knock on effect like a load of domino's (and not the pizza type).
Whats interesting is whats been done, not like an engine change as we all have engine of some sort but the other things.
For me I think its the roll-cage, transformed the handling. Far sharper and possibly, for some, a bit too ridged/harsh. Obviously mine wasn't just a case of the roll-cage and that was it. Other parts had to be fitted/changed to make it ( nearly) all work as a consequence of the cage.

A cellphone. It transformed my wait time for a tow.

I don’t know, I bought one last year possibly one of the last. He put a lot of time and effort into these mods and I don’t think he really did them to make money.

He put a lot of time and effort into these mods and I don’t think he really did them to make money. Yeah I know he's not making the water pump kit anymore. I bought one of his pump kits and I'd agree with you that it is 100% the best addition to a Stag. So much more comforting knowing that I'm not relying on the mechanical pump. That said, I've never seen his alternator bracket. I'll have to have a look. **Edit I found it. Thanks Vader

Why fit a roll-cage to a Stag?
The alternator bracket is obliviously for the alternator but whys that needed.

The answer to the first question I would guess in case it rolls over.
The alternator bracket is for repositioning the alternator to make space for the pump

Why fit a roll-cage to a Stag? The alternator bracket is obliviously for the alternator but whys that needed. Well my car is a comedy of errors. It just ended up where it is not by any plan at all it just happened. When the car was stripped down I found that somebody had welded the guttering to both the A posts. On removal found out why, a hole underneath. While repairing the car I realise how weak the A post was and wasn't too happy with the amount of protection this would give if the car ended up the upside down. With a possible increase in power that I might get from the Lexus engine I realise that the car may need some strengthening. Looking underneath the car there wasn't much space to stress mount the chassis. Someone mentioned a well-designed roll cage could also strengthen the car. So the roll-cage was a solution that killed two birds with one brick. This wasn't straight forward as it seems as it through up all sort of other problems that had to be overcomed. The way I went about building the car and my thought process, or lack of it, could be likened to how a squirrel crosses the road.
