Amen to that, Dark Lord, and ye of deep blue coach works! I see no reason why it shouldn’t thrive and surpass the now ‘woke’ Stag lives matter SOC forum, and become the fun and helpful place that the pre donkey, oirish, milf and fussybollox SOC forum was. Let’s hope that thrush, gassy and dazza the dealer keep their distance too, poisonous little turds. Onwards and upwards chaps for a bright sunny forum Do we know if there is a silence or ignore button or facility on this system for hecklers? Might be useful if some of the FB knobs appear...

Let's not also forget Maltosser, who didn't and doesn't know a thing about anything let alone Stags. Always asking for advice, which is ok but then starts dishing out wrongful advice to other poor unsuspecting souls as though he's an expert. Also Gassy and Thrush, who basically run FB, constantly peddling Thrush's money making 'modifications. Please stay away from here and stick to FB! You are not wanted here!

Richardthestag: so you don’t want to buy ill conceived carburettor conversions, poorly designed header tanks, cheap Chinese shit fuse blocks advertised across club media? I’m unsure why theses doodads and gewgaws don’t convince of the value of club membership - after all, they will “transform the performance and reliability of your stag”

You’ll do for me! I was banned from SOC forum for sarcasm, be careful!

Vader - been there, done that. Venting my spleen because of it. Don’t give a toss if I’m banned or not, managed before I joined anything and will manage after.
Just taking advantage of the opportunity to dig back at a group that censored anything that didn’t sing the praises of a few. And renaming people’s accounts GDPR, what’s that about?

I’m unsure why theses doodads and gewgaws don’t convince of the value of club membership - after all, they will “transform the performance and reliability of your stag” Hello again Grolly I have a Thomas Header tank, it is a pain in the arse as the reed level switch is too high, causes the warning flight to constantly flicker once the coolant level is correct. I had to install a delay unit to the circuit, where as what I should have done was install the XR4i expansion tank I have on the shelf. As an amusing aside the plumbing of the tank, which is quite a popular method in stag circles, was the root cause for hot running at motorway speeds. I now have a shiny thomas the tank engine shaped high level expansion tank with a level sensor installed. which still flickers when the coolant is cold, fucking thing! I also bought an exchange distributor a few years back, the cheapo powerspark module left me stranded within 50 miles, it was replaced with great reluctance. I didn't even bother with the cheapest of cheapo rotor and cap that were also supplied, they were sent straight back. The distributor itself is fine, and original equipment. A customer of mine also launched himself down this route and has a cheap pattern distributor on his engine now. I have no idea what my customer sent back as an exchange unit so cannot comment any further. I have ongoing concerns about the ignition advance curve of my distributor as the engine will run significantly hotter when running at a constant 3k rpm than it does at 3.5k rpm. Wonder if the supplied vacuum advance or bobweight springs are incorrect spec?!? All my ignition components now come from Distributor Doctor, too much "made to a cost" stuff is for sale. OE fusebox can be fixed easily if you know how and is as reliable as I need it to be. Biggest issue here is folk not understanding that the fuses are spec'ed to blow rating rather than constant rating. so many circuits are over fused if you get my drift. Carbs - I have a love for Strombergs, they look good on the engine, are reliable, can be fixed and tuned easily. I have them on my stag running at 2.5% co. Why on earth would I want to change them for something that could cause even more oil leaks than I have already? I do not buy NoS, chances are that it was crap in the day, recalled by supplier, dumped in a skip, rescued by some enterprising indervidual, now sold a NoS to great applause. I do not buy new from ebay unless from one of the reputable traders, everything else is cheap chicken shit from my experiences. Even branded stuff is either reject rescued from skips or copies skilfully carved from cheese by those enterprising Chinese chappies. Caveat Emptor is the most sensible thing I can say really. I can rabbit on all day about stuff I rejected, maybe that will be my next beer and bollox session on youtube I am amused when I see one of those devices that line up fuel molecules etc etc in an engine bay, easy business to liberate cash from folk who know no better!

HT from a merc at a cost of £25. Just fitted a brand new made in UK alloy rad at a cost of £330, new normal stag rads are £285 and mine is adapted to fit my HT plumbing and do away with that small pipe for the expansion bottle, all at no extra cost.
I have a Weber, there I’ve said it, just managed to stop my engine leaking by fitting a catch tank with PCV.
I don’t bother with car shows anymore, just got boring, met up with the southern Guys last year at Brands for a great day, they’re not a bad lot really!!

vader you were banned because you were an upstart and tbh a complete misfit ,sell up and get a new lawnmower ! I was banned for a sarcastic comment I made about an ex member who seems to be protected by SOC. SOC members don’t have a sense of humour it seems. Why am I an upstart? I was a member for 13 years and to be honest getting banned was the best thing to happen. I did get a phone call from someone who’s name I forget asking why I haven’t renewed my membership. He was quite a charming chap and I didn’t really like telling him the truth of why I left. He was gracious enough to accept my reason. Are you going to tell me who you are via PM if you wish after making a comment like that? Thanks

Take no notice this guy seems to kicks from abusing people or their cars. Whilst hiding behind unanimity I'm sure at sometime he will pluck up the courage to get his Stag out of the Corgi box and show us all.🙄

RichardtheStag: that fuel molecule atomisation, magnetic alignment thingy- AnnSummers sell a 10” black studded vibrator (so I’ve been told). Swirl pot made from a Pringles tube with one of those in and it will vibrate the fuel molecules all your engine could ever need and the realistic skin, silicon covering is ethanol proof. Of course if it doesn’t work you can always go and fuck yourself
