Just a quick ask of the grey matter on component differences.
1. Is there any difference in Mk1 and Mk2 doors? If so what to look for.
2. Water pump and top covers. Obvious the difference between 6-vane and 12-vane but what about top covers?
Can a 6-vane use a 12-vane cover and vise versa?
3. Crown Wheel and Pinion. Information seems to suggest that the 3.7 set was common in 2.5 Mk2 estate and Stag but differing in teeth angle(?).
Again the background murmurs suggest that rebuilt Stag 3.7 diffs will be using the estate version and they might not be robust enough.
If so, could this just be down to the level of Rockwell hardness.
Asking as I'm in the process of sorting out all the bits and pieces I've accumulated and don't want to give a false description if my decision is to sell.
