Hi guys, Does the zf hp22 conversion use the same autobox speedo cable as the original? It was supplied with the kit back in 2013 and now speedo and odometer has stopped working. Cheers Tanya

Hi Dave, It was the Monarch's kit, back when they sold them. From the photo I took of the box on its pallet, the speedo cable looks mechanical? T

Hi Dave, That I don't know. I might just order a cable and arrange for a local garage to check. They can put the car on a lift. We are in the process of moving house and in driving the Stag to its new home, hubby informs me both brake lights don't work. So I have to fix that first.🙄 T

Turned out to be the plastic switch on the peddle. Changed mine out for a metal type . I believe it was from a proper GO mini car

Yup, brake lights now working. I had bought a BMW switch years ago recommended by someone. Still have to use Satnav for a speedo, but must admit, haven't done a lot about it. Why does spell checker replace satnav with Satan? T

I can update this thread. The stubby inner cable in the angle drive broke into 3 pieces. I had a company in Canada remake the speedo cable and the stubby. Fast turnaround. The local transmission place installed them and the speedo needle holds steady with no wavering. Its my understanding that the cables are made to order with these conversion kits depending on what angle drive is used, so it's not simply using one of the original auto/manual choices.
