Thanks for the input guys. I already have a 6 year old Wizard Cooling ally rad from the USA installed, but it now has a slow weep. It works very well otherwise. Wizard Cooling sell ally rads for Stags if you visit their website. They were great to work with when I bought mine, but I live in Canada. Shipping and currency exchange rate are not in my favour, so I'm trying to work with what I have locally.

So I guess there is a reason why you don't back it to wizard under warranty and let them sort it out.

Hi Graham. Probably no warranty on it by now. I'll look into it once we see where the leak is. Hopefully, fixable for not much money. Fingers crossed.

You could try www.muggyweld.com. Available on flea bay Amazon . Might be worth a go with it .

It's been a while! Update. The old mk2 radiator is in! It has a recore with wider tubing for greater flow. The new slightly wider core was a bit too close to the crankshaft bolt, so I also had the top brackets moved a few mm towards the rear of car. This mm extra tilt now made enough space to change belts, if needed. Fresh coolant tomorrow and check for leaks. Tanya

Hi Ian, So nice to hear you're getting back on your feet! As of late yesterday, our house is sold. We have to be out by June 1st. Pending travel restrictions this summer, we might go out west and see about moving. The snow is starting to melt here now.
I forgot to mention the ally rad I took out had 2 top tubes cracked at both ends.
Coolant in and holding.😃 Tanya

Found you! 😉 Nice to hear from you guys again! You guys have helped keep my car running, despite me trying to kill it! So, really welcome your advice! My ally rad is leaking slowly from the core, car still driveable and running really well 😃, but I need to address the rad sometime. So, rad questions. How good is a Rimmers new 3 core rad? It would need modifying for the EWP this end and the rad shop here will do that. What's it made of? Alternatively, I have an old Mk 2 rad with mods already and a quote for a Supergil core. Only the core is shipped overseas. Getting a core made here for my old rad is more expensive. Tanya aka Saskstag (Canada) Hi Tanya, its Ian. Hope you and Brian are both fit and well. First thing, have you tried some K seal in the existing rad, Personally, I would have thought getting the spare radiator you have sorted out locally with a standard core would be your best course of action. Correct me if I'm wrong but your climate isn't exactly demanding on your car. Is it ? Have you looked at Wizard Cooling Tanya? They have some nice products for those of us in NA. wizardcooling.com/triumph/stag/

Hi John, I had a Wizard rad installed for 6 years, but two tubes cracked at the ends. This recore so far seems to have the same cooling power. Tanya

Update on the recored radiator. More cooling than the Wizard ally rad. At 90 kph, top of rad temp is about 170oF and engine sender and gauge needle is left of the N. But stuck in traffic on a 20oC day, the rad temp was 185oF and engine temp stayed on N. T

Thats good news, I have often suspected alloy rads are more bling than useful Neil
