It’s going to be tight getting the T the other way around but will give it a go tomorrow, if I can’t I’ll try Neil’s idea and next system flush will have the radiator adjusted with a new inlet fitted, can’t yet as have been throwing money at it for the last 12 months Thanks Alan

Turned the T around so the main flow was from heater to pump as you suggested sapphirestag and it still did the same, so the next try is as flying farmer said and put the pump area back to standard and the bottom tank connection to the existing overflow, if that doesn’t work it’s back to standard as when I bought it last year I drove it 90 miles back from London with no problem. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it ha ha Thanks Alan

Just an update, done as flying farmer suggested and put the bottom of the header tank to the existing overflow via reducers and the top of the tank to the top of the radiator and it works, so thanks for all the help Alan

Good to hear you sorted it. Can you post a picture of how it's now connected.

There is no flow through the tank but air can get out the radiator from the top to be replaced with coolant from the overflow pipe Attachments:

As I said earlier, this was a quick bodge which worked so well on mine that I have never changed it.
Glad you have got it working
